NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT THE THIRTY SECOND ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING OF MEMBERS OF THE ASSOCIATION WILL BE HELD AT JAMESON HOTEL, 21 SAMORA MACHEL AVENUE/PARK STREET, HARARE ON FRIDAY 2 JUNE 2017, AT 11.30AM.
- To confirm the Minutes of the Thirty First Annual General Meeting held on 19 May 2016.
- To receive, consider and adopt the President’s report and Report of the Council for the year ended 31 December 2016.
- To receive, consider and adopt the Report of the Independent Auditors and Financial Statements for the year ended 31 December 2016.
- In terms of Article 68 and 64 of the Articles of Association, to elect four members of Council.

Southern Africa Association of Accountants (SAAA) is an independent Professional Accounting Examining body established in 1984 in Zimbabwe as a non profit making organization.
Upon its inception its was named ZAAT for it was training Accounting Technicians .In 2006 the Association upgraded its syllabi which saw the birth of training accountants and thus necessitating the change of name from ZAAT to SAAA.
The Association offers higher Diploma in Accountancy. Besides the General Accounting SAAA also offers Public Sector Accounting. Therefore our Higher Diplomas are recognized both in Private and Public Sectors. SAAA is a constituent member of PAAB ,a member of PAFA and a member of DEASA.
The Association has also gone regional and has opened doors in South Africa and Botswana.
Who can enrol?
Applicants may register as students of the Association for the main examination structure provided that they have obtained at least two (2) ‘A’ level passes and five passes in any one to the examinations detailed in Clauses 2.1.1., 2.1.2., 2.1.3 and 2.1.4. below. It should be noted that the passes must be in 5 distinct subjects and include one numerate subject (e.g. Mathematics, Accountancy or Statistics.), English Language and any other three subjects provided that not more than one of them is a craft subject.2.1.1 The G.C.E. examination of any of the approved examining bodies in the United Kingdom at Grades A, B or C at Ordinary Level.read more
Who we are?
During the early 1980’s a need was perceived by the country’s four main Professional Accounting and Secretarial Institutes for a relevant course of study, examinations and membership body for persons who carry out an accounting function at a level below that of a fully qualified accountant. It had been ascertained that many hundreds of workers in the country were engaged in financial/accounting duties but that for many of them there existed no formal qualification which would indicate their accounting abilities, special skills or general business and administrative knowledge.read more
